8staff is a local-first desktop staff of named teammates. Each one gets a desk, a memory, and the models you already pay for.
Chat windows forget. They are good at the next paragraph and bad at having a job. 8staff is an office: Scout, Maker, Closer, then whoever you hire. A roster slot, a home folder, a standing brief. The morning after is the product.
You already pay for Claude, Codex, Grok, or Cursor. We do not resell them, proxy them, or mark them up. 8staff is the floor they come to work on. Sign in inside this app. The 8code app is not required.
The staff on this machine is local — Mac, Windows, or Linux. Learning is a notebook, consent-gated, measured here. Schedules run while 8staff is open. We will not advertise overnight model training we do not ship.
The desktop app is free. Cloud desks — work that should survive a closed laptop — and a shared floor for a team are billed. That is hosted compute and a roster other people can see, not a model trained on you.
